Embraer Gurantees 75% of the EVE’s research and develop with BNDES
Eve, Evtol, which is the emerging company controlled by Embraer, has concluded a Brazilian loan of 490 million with BNDES – where it has practically completed the financing necessary for the research and development (R&D) phase for its planes.
According to the company, the funding from BNDES covers 75% of the funding for this stage, estimated at 652 million Brazilian riyals.
Part of BNDES (80 million Brazilian riyals) comes from the Climate Fund, a program that supports projects related to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to adaptation to climate change.
The rest comes from the Finem – Incentaada A / Inovação line.
“The process is particularly symbolic in the climate fund, as it plans to develop a sabotage product that reduces global warming emissions.” “The successful development of Evtol will enable entry into a very technically intense market sector.”
Funding from BNDES will enhance Eve’s funds after the startup raised $370 million in onboarding with SPAC – which led to its listing on the New York Stock Exchange – and another $15 million in a contributed contribution by United Airlines.
Eve is now in the aircraft adoption phase with ANAC and is expected to begin ‘flying car’ work in 2026.
