Kaspersky Lab received a Patent for Link Analysis Technology between Devices

Kaspersky Laboratory has patented the analysis of relationships between devices to combat cyberatakami. This technology helps you integrate digital devices into a single network with a single account and seek similarities between device settings.
The patent “System and Method for analyzing relations between electronic device groups to neutralize cyber attacks” was recorded in the US Department of brands and patents.
In 2022, in the first half, the number of attacks on IoT devices in Russia increased by 40%. The new method allows you to see all tools on the network and connect them to similar networks to further recognize existing or potential gaps in protection.
This technology allows you to detect and warn the user that any of the network devices are insecure, attacks have been performed through them or the network has been compromised and configured similarly.
This method means determining the relationship between the tool and the environment. In the future, the discovered samples will be used for the lineage of other devices of the same group. Relations between devices are determined using the calculated similarity coefficient.
The purpose of this technology is to help safety solutions to analyze connected devices to see if individual devices or their specific settings are risks, as well as providing the necessary protection.
